April Showers printable April 9, 2017 08:16
Welcome to April! Here's a raindrop mobile project for you to try if you find yourself stuck in doors on a rainy day, designed for us by Hannah from Utensils0

This pdf template printed onto coloured paper
Glue
Scissors
Invisible string or thread
A hoop (eg. embroidery or bangle)
A smaller hoop for hanging (eg. keyring)

1. Cut out all the rain drop shapes that you want and fold them in half. Tip - with thicker paper or card you can score a line lightly down the middle to help you get a straight fold.

2. Glue down the fold to stick it to the fold in another rain drop. Repeat this as many times as you like, use at least 4 shapes for each rain drop.

3. Using one of the folds glue down the centre of your collection of rain drops to affix the invisible thread or glue inside.

4. Tie your thread first to the large hoop, adjust the lengths of the thread to make the drops look like they're falling. Once it's tied tightly to the larger hoop continue with the thread to your smaller hanging hoop and tie it on to there. Repeat this till all your raindrops are in position.

Be as ambitious as you like, your April shower could be as small as a bangle or as big as a lampshade!
